Join the #HealthyCities challenge today.
The challenge is simple: download the app and get moving in June. The more we move, the more money we'll donate to green charities.
There's up to £1 million available from The Bupa Foundation to help make our cities greener and healthier.
Our chosen charities
When you join the Healthy Cities Step Challenge we will donate £10 to one of our chosen charities on your behalf.* Like hundreds that have already benefited, you'll see the direct impact of your participation, like greener and more vibrant spaces.
Find out more about how we are supporting our charities:
Groundwork - Our partners at Groundwork run our Green Community Grants Fund with the application form available throughout June, where schools and community groups can apply for up to £2,000 for a green project to create or improve green spaces. Since 2023 we have funded more than 500 grants, including schools and community groups in disadvantaged urban areas. Find out more and apply here.
Trees for Cities - Bupa will support the Health and Urban Trees programme, supporting health, social, and environmental outcomes through community-led tree planting. By planting trees in areas of deprivation and high pollution in the UK, we can transform underused spaces, engage local communities, and contribute to broader goals in sustainability, health equality, and climate resilience.
*In May to 30 June 2025 for every download of the Healthy Cities app Bupa will donate £10, up to the value of £500,000.
