How we are governed
The Bupa Foundation's strategic direction and funding decisions are overseen by our Board of Trustees, which is made up of six Bupa leaders and three independent external trustees.
The Bupa Foundation is a company limited by guarantee in England and Wales (Company registration number 9524970) and registered with the Charity Commission for England & Wales (Charity number 1162759).
The Bupa Foundation receives its funding entirely from Bupa.
The role of the Board of Trustees
Our trustees provide strategic direction, setting the Bupa Foundation's funding strategy and deciding on the theme of each funding programme. They are responsible for the governance of the Foundation, ensuring that the way in which we operate and the work we support is in line with our charitable purpose.
Trustees oversee the strategic direction and effective and efficient management of the Bupa Foundation. They review and approve grants, monitoring the way in which funds are used by grant recipients.
Our trustees act as a champion for the Bupa Foundation.
